VISA Information

** As of Nov. 25th 2011, Vietnamese visa processing fee is changed. Please refer to below general information regarding Vietnamese visa.

** Important notes on Chinese visa **

If you don’t have Alien Registration Card, you can’t obtain Chinese visa unless you’ve been to China within past two years.

If you have Alien Registration Card, but it expires within next 6 month, please contact travel@sohotravel.co.kr for further information.

 

(As of Mar 27th 2011, Chinese consulate in Pusan also stopped issuing the visa tor foreign residents in Korea with ARC less than 6 month left. )

If you have Alien Registraton Card, and it has longer than 6 month left, you can apply for the visa.

Each applicant will need to provide:

  1. Passport (should be vaild for at least next six months before its expiration and should contain at least one unused visa page)
  2. Allien Registration Card (Must have a minimum of 6 months remaining before its expiration date)
  3. 1 Picture ( passport or Id card sized photograph )
  4. Application form
  5. Visa application fee :
    US citizen  : 185,000 KW (single entry)
    Non-US citizen  :  50,000 KW (single entry)
    ** For applicants holding airline tickets not issued by Soho Travel there is an additional charge of 10,000 KRW

** In Cases Where Your Alien Registration Card Expires Within Next 6 Months

  • If you have visited China within past 2 years and there is an entry record to China on your passport
    • you are eligible to apply for a new visa to China
    • Required documents and the visa application fee will be the same as above.

– General Information –

Visa issuance depends on rules and regulations persuant to the diplomatic relationships between countries.

Please check whether or not a visa is required to visit the countries you intend to travel via Internet, by contacting directly your local embassy or consulate before you travel.

We can arrange a Tourist Visa for following countries.

If you are  mailing your passport, please use Registered Overnight Express Mail (익일 특급 in Korean) at your post office.

  • China
    • As of July 1st, 2010 you need Alien Registration Card (valid for at least next 6 months) to apply for the Chinese visa
    • Required documents are
      • Passport
        • You must also make sure that there is at least six months before the expiration of your passport
        • Passports must contain at least one unused VISA page for the VISA sticker (covering entire passport page
      • 1 passport picture

      • Alien Registration card (valid for at least next 6 month
      • You may mail these document to us, or you can come by to our office to drop them off.

    • Processing Fee:
      • Single entry (30 day stay within 90 days from your visa issuance date)
        • Non-Us Citizen: 50,000 wo
        • US Citizen: 185,000 wo
      • Double entry (30 day stay within 6 months from your visa issuance date)
        • Available only if your ARC has longer 6 month left AND you’ve been to China before within last two years. 
        • Please note that Chinese Embassy in Korea does not issue multiple entry visa to foreign residents in Korea
        • Non-Us Citizen: 70,000 wo
        • US Citizen: 205,000 wo
      • If you just arrange a visa only without purchasing a flight ticket, there will be an extra 10,000 won for service fee.
  • Vietnam
    • Required Documents:
      • Passport & 1 passport picture
      • You may mail these document to us, or you can come by to our office to drop them off.

      • 5 working days process- 115,000 won
      • 10 working days process – 100,000 won
      • If you just arrange a visa only without purchasing a flight ticket, there will be an extra 10,000 won for service fee.
  • Cambodia
  • Mongolia
    • Required Documents:
      • Passport & 1 passport picture
      • You may mail these document to us, or you can come by to our office to drop them off.

      • 5 working days process
      • 70,000 won
      • If you just arrange a visa only without purchasing a flight ticket, there will be an extra 10,000 won for service fee.
  • India
    • Required Documents:
      • passport
        • at least with 3 blank visa pages per the Indian Embassy visa policy
        • You must also make sure that there is at least six months before the expiration of your passport.
        • There should be your signature appeared on the passport bearer’s signature page.
      • 2 pictures of you ( size: 3.5 CM x 4.5 CM / White background )
      • Address & Tel number in Korea and your home country
      • Copy of Alien registration card (front/back side)
      • You may mail these document to us, or you can come by to our office to drop them off.

      • Single entry (3 month validity)
        • Visa process time : 7 days ~ 10 days
        • U.S.Citizen : 160,000 won
        • UK/Australia/NZ/Canada/Ireland : 120,000 won
        • South Africa : 50,000 won
